Some of the sample fabric squares shown on this page were originally part of a Life Quilt intended to record special moments and scenes from the creator’s experiences as a legacy to her daughters. Some are based on photos, some on memory. All are hand-appliqued and many use actual fabric scraps from the period they reflect. Also shown are other pieces made for family and friends and for weddings. If you are interested in commemorating something from your life through this medium, the artist can make an artistically representative piece of any scene you wish with her fabrics or fabrics of your choice. This can then be made into a pillow or framed (at the purchaser’s choice and expense). Most pieces are formatted to fit 14” x 14” pillow forms but sizes may vary according to the buyer’s preferences. Custom orders taken at this time are $400.00 for the 14" x 14" format, including a non-refundable deposit of $200. The pricing for larger or more complex formats will be adjusted accordingly. |

Hammock, 2005 |
 This work was commissioned for a part-time resident who wanted to recreate the images from a photo of her 9 grandchildren in a hammock with the foliage and landscape of their garden and its view of Baldy mountain in the background. |
